A shout-out for health and safety
After 24 years’ service as a telecommunications specialist, Dan’s dialling into a new challenge with RJS Waste Management as our Midlands contracts manager.
Dan also joins our team of British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) qualified P402 asbestos surveyors.
According to BOHS, asbestos surveyors ensure buildings are safe for occupational use.
Following the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) 2012, Regulation 4, they can identify and record where asbestos is and if it’s likely to be disturbed. Then, assess the building material to determine whether it’s hazardous.
A P402 asbestos surveyor is also useful if you’re planning refurbishment and demolition works. They can identify any asbestos within the area of the proposed works so it can removed safely.
