Planning for demolition works
Before starting any demolition work, we develop a detailed health and safety plan and notify the relevant local authorities. Careful planning is essential to confirm:
- The size and position of the building
- Access to the building and the surrounding areas
- The construction style of the building (steel or concrete framed, brick-built etc.)
If needed, we perform asbestos demolition surveys to identify the presence of any Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) and plan for their removal. Additionally, we offer soft strip demolition services to remove non-structural elements inside the building.
Demolition risk assessments
We will always carry out a full risk assessment for demolition works as well as a Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS) to ensure the project is carried out safely and efficiently.
